The food is good. Take your food to go. The service is friendly, but for me it's too much. I much preferred when Paul ran the ship. Nevertheless I get my Togo order and am a happy camper
Ok, I wanted to love this place. I had been looking forward to it for weeks leading up to my trip. Being born and raised in Hawaii and no me living on the mainland we look for Hawaiian food whenever we can.Service 9/10-Everyone was super sweet. They even brought the food to me and opened each container so I could see it.Ambiance 8/10-It's cute, a little cheesy but very clean.Food:Waikike Combo (BBQ beef and chicken) 5/10-Usually a BBQ mix consists of several pieces of BBQ beef and chicken. This was cut up and included onions. I feel like they used the onions as a filler because there was not a lot of beef. It was seasoned well, but the macaroni salad was super blandChicken Katsu-2/10-The only thing good about it was the crunch. Meat tasted unseasoned. Even the Katsu sauce was bland. Spam Musubi-8/10- Pretty good, but spam musubi is hard to mess up.They had Hawaiian Sun so that made me happy. Overall, if you are from Hawaii or have had true Hawaiian BBQ, you will be disappointed.
BEST food! Amazing staff, always kind and so caring. I've been going here for years and I will never stop! I recommend everybody to Waikikie!!
We waited 30 min for the most mediocre food. I got the Waikikie combo. It has teriyaki chicken, beef bulgogi, and macaroni salad with carrots. Basically just mall food. The lady was nice though.
The service here is phenomenal. They treat their guests AND the delivery drivers picking up orders so friendly! It is as if you are a part of their family. Our dinner tonight was so relaxing because of the hospitality. This was our first time here and we can't wait to come back. I ordered the Kalua Pork meal and hubby ordered the Hatsu Pork Chop meal. Both were delicious. I think my Kalua Pork just barely edged out the pork chops in flavor, though. We are all finished and already talking about what we are going to order next time.
