What Keith Llado dislikes about Lou's Skyline Deli Cafe:
Terrible food. Even worse service. The only reason this cafe stays open is because they have a captive audience of professionals who can't always leave the building for lunch. Today's terrible experience was the last straw I will never shop at this store again despite being in such a convenient location. Trust me... take the extra 15 minutes and drive to Publix (honestly, it'll probably be cheaper anyway). I'll be su... View all feedback.

The service at Lou's Skyline Deli Cafe is excellent, and the ambiance is pleasant. However, it seems mostly frequented by people working in this building or the one across the street, as it’s quite a walk from the parking garage. The sandwiches I’ve tried are decent, but the prices are a bit high for my budget, so I rarely buy much. Since I work nearby and often crave something sweet in the afternoon, I usually grab a big cookie. I've tried every flavor they offer, but each time I’m disappointed—they taste like undercooked flour and sugar, floppy and lacking flavor. Please, can the cookie recipe improve? I have some simple suggestions if you’re interested. I appreciate the team and am glad this place is here for us—thanks for listening! The food here is awful, and the service is even worse. This café seems to stay open only because it serves professionals who are stuck in the building during lunch. After today's terrible experience, I've decided I won't be coming back, despite its convenient location. Trust me, it's worth taking an extra 15 minutes to drive to Publix instead—it’ll likely be cheaper and definitely better. I’ll be sure to warn others about my experience. I'm puzzled by Holli's previous review. If the cookies were really that bad, why keep buying them? Isn’t that the very definition of insanity—doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results? Maybe Holli was having a bad day and needed an outlet for frustration. Having visited Lou's Skyline Deli Cafe several times, it can’t be that bad. I’ve worked in this building for two years, and Monica bakes the most delicious cookies and cakes I’ve ever tasted from anyone who’s worked here. I’m even planning to order a cake from her for my birthday. A colleague recently brought in a lemon cake from Monica, and it was devoured by the office in less than a day. I have to watch myself so I don’t overindulge because her treats are that good! Monica truly has a gift for baking. Even after three or four days, her cakes and cookies still taste fresh. She adds her own unique touch to everything. Plus, she seasons the chicken for the salads perfectly. Since Monica and the new team arrived, the menu and food quality have improved significantly. On days I don’t meal prep, I’ll head down and grab something. The staff are consistently polite and attentive. Despite having a small crew, they manage to serve the entire building exceptionally well. I’ve worked in restaurants before—I know it’s not easy. Lou’s Deli deserves some credit. They work hard to keep us full and happy and always maintain a positive attitude, even when they probably don't feel like it. Working in the service industry is tough and often thankless. Instead of leaving negative reviews, why not speak with them directly about how they might improve? This isn’t a five-star restaurant in the Hamptons; it’s a small office building cafeteria. Either way, I always look forward to Monica’s cookies and cakes. The macadamia, chocolate chip, and peanut butter cookies are incredible, and the cakes are all delicious—I’ve tried them all. The lemon cake literally melts in your mouth. Recently, they had a new pumpkin cake, and I practically inhaled it without even chewing. I’m picky about my food, so that’s saying something. Thanks to Monica and the entire team for all you do. I’m grabbing a cookie today!
