Food was good, server was nonexistent, he only took our food order without saying hello or anything and then gave us our check. No coffee refills or questions about the food or anything. Would have been better to have been a walk up counter to order food. If the service was better I would have gave stars cus the food was excellent View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Livingston:
The costs for the meal on the $65/pp theatre card were not worth the costs. The She Crab Soup was too spicy and came from cold/room temperature. They ran out of the ravioli and lasted longer for chicken and hazelnut cakes was blazing. Had to wait for billing and took an automatic 20% charge for menu and number of people. View all feedback.
Historical place to eat. A grand hotel which has been updated. I agree with previous reviews. The food is exceptional. The decor is eligant. People are nice. You should try it.
I like their Thanksgiving, Easter and Mother’s day special buffets. Pricey but very quality food with great service and complimentary valet parking.
We went there for pre-show dinner at the Fox Theater. The menu was catered for those attending a performance. Service and food was excellent. We did not feel rushed, had an excellent meal with plenty of time left to casually stroll to the theater. The menu was simple, however; the food was quite good and the appropriate portion size. I would recommend this restaurant.
Loved the low country boil! In a city with a lot of fried options, it was great to find something I could eat that worked with my diet. Delicious! Even better was when I was at the restaurant before they switched over from the theater dinner menu, the chef graciously agreed to make the low country boil for me. I thought for sure I was going to have to find somewhere else to eat that night. Everyone was so kind and the food was delicious!
The hotel in which this restaurant hides is amazingly beautiful. The restaurant itself is as gorgeous. The food here is sooo good; however, pretty pricey for the dishes. The Salmon appetizer on the BBQ chips is really good, but too much mesquite powder. I felt like I was inhaling it with every bite. The cream cheese and capers was a nice touch on a flavorful blend. The creole scallop carbonara was sooo delicious and the grits twist was exceptional. A bit disappointing to only receive for scallops in the dish. The low country seafood boil was good as well.
