Golden Star - Athlone

Love this place, get it every time we go to Athlone. Their salt and chili chips and salt and chili tofu are the best I have tried and I have tried, many portion sizes are also huge. The man I think is really friendly, always a smile on his face. Eggs roasted rice is also beautiful and the tofu noodle boxes. My only criticism is that they are not a card, cash only (and the salt and chili tofu is not on Just Eat)

Very disappointing, as the crispy shredded chicken had no chicken in it, Gooey had not crispy. Lamb ribs were reheated not fresh. Chips very dry tasteless. Will be ordered again from here

Very friendly staff, extremely fast. So many options and very cheap. Eating was definitely my new favorite taking in Athlone coming right back here the next time.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! We have ordered food here a few times and how vegetarian we often ask to replace meat with tofu in many of their dishes that are never a problem. Today we have ordered for friends staying with us, eating the meat and the Restraunt just called to make sure that we did not make a mistake in order. So sweet of them to go out the way to do this! I'm amazed!!

The exterior may not be impressive, but the food is decent. Their spice bag is probably the best in town.
