Wow! What a find! Deserves 5 stars. Happened upon it accidentally and felt like this was the highlight of our trip. Food: excellent! Had scallops (perfectly cooked and salmon—yum! our friend who is vegan had a great black bean burger (had avocado on it, fries were GF with house made Smokey ketchup . Drinks and wine were top notch. They even had gluten free dessert. Some of the tables are in a bar like atmosphere, som... View all feedback.
What Anna Dosch doesn't like about Astoria Coffee House Bistro:
The food was both tasteless and overpriced. It was disappointing to find that everything was served on paper plates, at prices comparable to a sit-down restaurant. We ordered mac and cheese with salmon for $19 and a rice bowl with chicken for $18, both of which lacked flavor and were unappealing. We were quite frustrated with our lunch choice, considering it was our only opportunity to eat during a day trip to the ci... View all feedback.
Absolute surrender to quality. Creative farewell. The art of eating.

We live here. I don't visit very often and then I do and remember why I don't. I just think with their prices, the food would be better. I got huevos rancheros and beans were scarce while the ample rice was just oily. So oily. What really gets me is the plates. During the pandemic they started using paper plates. It's 4 years later and they STILL use paper plates. You can spend over $30 and be eating off a paper plate. It's just tacky. No one else (sit down) in town is doing the paper plate thing. Only thing I do recommend here is the cocktails.
Food was okay and I appreciate the vegan options! Not very kid friendly- no high chair, no kids menu, no small side dishes to order. We ended up ordering a macaroni and cheese that was actually bowtie noodles, which is fine for an adult, but hangry child was not happy. I would probably give it another try if I left the kids at home.
Favorite place to dine in Astoria! Their Rock Fish Tacos are fresh and delicious! Always the first thing I recommend! The bar tender is a true Mixologist, an exceptional master of his craft!!!
