We visited on Sunday with friends for lunch with our three children. The garden is fantastic and the kids love it. We had burgers, pizza and kids meals which were all delicious and served quickly. Would highly recommend for a get together with family or...friends View all feedback.

We arrived at the restaurant to find a full parking lot, but there were no immediate alarm bells. Despite being told that the roast beef had sold out, we decided to opt for the roast chicken instead. Unfortunately, it was absolutely terrible! The calamari starter had an odd texture and was tasteless. The chicken was unseasoned and bland, with only two new potatoes and watery frozen vegetables. The parsnip batons were... View all feedback.
We ended up at this restaurant after running out of fuel, and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The owner even brought my husband to the local garage. The pub was cozy inside with a wide selection of beers. We will definitely be returning as the menu looked very appealing.
We were surprised by the negative reviews, as we found the service and food to be quite good. Customers order and receive their utensils from the bar, which is reasonable, and the menu is displayed on boards. Our group of five was celebrating a 97th birthday, and the staff was very helpful. The menu featured a variety of roasts and a la carte options, which is not common for a Sunday. We brought our own cake, which the staff kindly added candles to and presented well. Although the staff seemed new and a bit inexperienced, we had a pleasant meal and received attentive service. We would recommend giving them a chance.
Went to see the band which said 8.00pm but when they didn't come saw it said on their Facebook 9.00pm. Had cheese ploughman's which wasn't nice. No cucumber, apple or grapes. Some weird bread things that tasted awful. The place needs a good clean and redecorating. Also dog running around while your eating. Picture is food I left. We asked if there was peppers in it to be told no but when served there was.
Not good for the price very disappointed. It used to be very good my husband had fish and chips and that was good you do expect peas with that
We pulled into the car park which had 1/2 dozen cars, arriving at 3pm the alarm bells weren’t ringing. Reassuring they were still serving we made aware roast beef had sold out. No problem, we thought being late afternoon and walk-in customers we’ll have the roast chicken. JUST AWFUL IT WAS DIA!!! Calamari starter was an odd texture tasteless. The chicken was unseasoned very bland, NO roast potatoes, two 1/2 new potatoes, bland unseasoned boiled, watery frozen vegetables. Soggy (possibly boiled) parsnip batons. Had to wait for gravy ask for more. There were two other couples eating at the same time as us both had issues with their meals also. Condiments pots were empty incorrect desserts served. How can you confuse sticky toffee pudding and treacle tart? The lady who served us was very pleasant, however lack of organisation let her down. Having to run back and forth, fetching and carrying unaware they’d run out of roast potatoes!! AVOID!!
