Papa's Beer Mexican - Asheville

My wife and I really enjoyed eating here! we are from the state and have heard great things about them. I had the steak-sopas and my wife had the taquitos rancheros. both are excellent. the bon dive with the chips was unexpected, but also delicious, spicy. I wish we had one in my state. we really recommend stopping by!

Fantastic food and lovely staff. Everything taste pretty fresh and the pricing options are fantastic. I wouldn't recommend the margaritas as the balance is way off. Maybe the bar staff should take a slight refresher course; after all the margarita is one of the most popular drinks in America, and if you can't get that drink right in a Latin American resturant.... sheesh. Food was right on par, and I love that they use real fresh cheese! So nice. The fajitas we perfect. Great cook on the meats, fresh vegitables, all you could ask for. And did I mention how amazing the staff was? The salsa bar was nice to see, but not very covid friendly.

Food was delicious! The bean dip that came out with the chips was very good. I don't like beans but gave it a try, I was surprised with how good it was. Portions were bigger than expected as well. Was not disappointed.

We were meeting some out of town friends and couldn't figure out where to go, as we were also coming from out of town (Easley SC). I looked up different Mexican food restaurants, this place had some of the highest rated reviews. I can see why...the food is great, large portions and reasonably priced. The chips and salsas were very tasty, and the salsa bar is fun. The servers were friendly, and very attentive, despite it being very very busy. I will definitely make this a stop next time we are in Asheville.

This place gets crazy busy! If you are a party larger than 4 be prepared to wait a bit. The service is great and the food is quick. The food portions are enormous and it's really good.
