I'm honored that I was able to get by Buxton Hall before they permanently close the doors. They have a modified menu from now till close.Staff were nice and full of smiles. The pimento cheese plate was so good. Main dish was pulled pork, BBQ hash over rice and smoked sausage. The sides were collard greens and baked beans. The food was perfect and seasoned just right.I snagged a few ribs to go and took a bite while on... View all feedback.
What Hazel Hand doesn't like about Buxton Hall Bbq:
We enjoyed our lunch here, but I wouldn't necessarily say we have to make this a regular stop. The good: The Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich was pretty good HUGE breast filet, cooked perfectly, but Pimento cheese was not good. The sweet tea was perfectly sweet. The not so good: $40 for lunch (2 sandwiches, each with one side, a tea, and a water) is a bit on the high side for what you get. BBQ is vinegar based and o... View all feedback.
We had our rehearsals here recently and could not be satisfied anymore. it was easy to sail from start to end. after our untiial contact everything was explained by extremely helpful employees and there were no hidden additional costs. the dining room was nicely decorated and the grill was beyond the believe out. super friendly, efficient staff made our evening unforgettable.
It is a very cool joint. I took the server suggestion on a chicken sandwich, but I didn't like it. but my wife ordered the braut and it was delicious. Also, for that be in the inner city of asheville the server should know a little more about the environment when asked for advice where to get the opposite foot.
Really cool spot! hush puppies were delicious. very recommend the lions share cocktails. many thanks to scout that they are a really friendly and personable server. eating was great and the atmosphere is so cool! huge windows with a small beautiful mountain view. they have even murals on the walls of 1936. really cool little jewel
In our plan for a trip to asheville found my wife buxton hall bbq, who had very good reviews. so we were back to the hotel on the way. unfortunately we were too late and had to get for a delivery order "smoked sausage plate, which was very good. the opposite of the restaurant is usually old buildings that have been renovated. of the signs we say, it is an up- and up- and up- and up- and up-BQ place. the inside of the restaurant was neat and clean with some neat T-shirts available. the people were very helpful. that it was great. we improve the bbq taste. we want to come back if we have more time to enjoy an evening meal. beautiful place, helpful people, good food. we're coming back.
My boyfriend and I were on a weekend away and this is his favorite BBQ in Asheville. We did take out and took it to the brewery next door to enjoy. The pimento cheese was the best I’ve ever had and the addition of sweet pickles and pickled onions was perfection. I also tried one of their salads which was also great, the lettuce was crispy and fresh, plenty of strawberries and goat cheese. Overall, would definitely go back on our next trip to Asheville.
