Salt-n-Pepper Restaurant - Ascot

I made a reservation almost two weeks prior to the day/time I wanted through their website (powered by tossdown) and I got a confirmation email. When we arrived they stated we should have received a phone call or email cancelling it because they reserved it for an event. I received neither and they blamed opentable (who I did not go through). They said we could have the table for one hour and then had to leave. Since we were going to a show we decided to take it and had to eat quickly. The food was decent but we did not receive any apologies. Will not go back. As we were sitting there we saw others come in with reservations and they were told the same thing we were. Very sad and not professional at all.

Poor taste and little amount of food with expensive price. Very not welcoming atmosphere. The worst so far.

Atmosphere excellent (inc pleasant Indian back-ground music), service excellent and quality of food great, can only suggest that previous reviewer who criticised the portion size must be a very large eater!

We had a very nice, tasty and cheap dinner. The waitress was ve ry polite and serviceminded. Only the coffee was not good

I have been here a few times and I have found the service good but some times I get a really good curry then the next time its terrible. I went the other night as I had no option and it was ok again. Just be warned that the curry even the mild is pretty hot. I usually like a medium but I have to have mild there
