We went here today for a last minute family lunch. Beautiful garden, secure and children’s play area with new equipment. Food was lovely, reasonable, with an excellent menu, good choice of drinks and Spencer and his team who looked after us couldn’t have done more. Spencer literally didn’t sit still and nothing was too much trouble. Very very impressed, and appreciative of the hard work everyone was putting in. We ha... View all feedback.
What Jacqueline C doesn't like about The Vine Pub:
Long wait for food (40 mins) although hardly anyone in the pub. Order was wrong so one plate taken back, took 20 minutes for replacement by which time other meal had been eaten. Chips clearly just put back in the fryer to heat up again. Plate just plonked down again with no apology or acknowledgment of spoilt meal. When I said this the guy said ‘why should I apologise, I didn’t take the order’. Very poor customer ser... View all feedback.
I had a great time at this restaurant with plenty of drinks, laughter, and fantastic service. This pub always has a lively atmosphere with friendly characters. The outdoor garden is a lovely place to relax, especially on sunny days. The food and drinks were excellent. I highly recommend this place!
We hadn't visited The Vine in a while, but our Sunday Lunch there was exceptional. I ordered the nut roast with roast potatoes, carrots, mashed swede, broccoli, Yorkshire pudding, gravy, and a small ball of stuffing. The plates were served hot, which was a nice touch. My husband opted for the roast beef with the same vegetables. For dessert, I chose ice cream while my husband had Sticky Toffee Pudding with ice cream. Additionally, there was a 20% discount for veterans in honor of Armistice Day, which was a nice gesture.
I have visited this restaurant a few times recently and have enjoyed the fantastic atmosphere with music playing in the background. They have introduced a new menu with some delicious dishes, and after trying a few, I will certainly be returning for more. The prices for both food and drinks are reasonable.
I was looking for a pub with BT Sport so as I could watch Wokings FA Cup match with Watford. The Vine has BT Sport. Moreover though the bar staff are superbly friendly and were excellent. Child friendly too. Thank you all
I went for a last drink over the festive season and was served by the most unfriendly bar person; no festive cheer here; no welcome, or smile
