I really love eating breakfast here. The food is great at a great price. The portion size is very generous. (although breakfast portions are often not negotiable). The staff is friendly and prompt. I also love their mission and community involvement. I have never eaten anything except breakfast here, because well, why would I??? the loaded hashbrowns will ruin you!!! Add the stuffed French toast and you will never wa... View all feedback.
What Teresa Fuller doesn't like about Damron's:
I went to Damron's today. I had a hamburger steak with onions mashed potatoes and a bowl of beans and sweet tea. My meal was $18.00 how is that. I could go to Red Lobster for lunch and have seafood for $20.00. Everyone is trying to save money on meals, but I will never go back there. The price are Way to high. View all feedback.
The food is always good. The service not so much, I asked for coke from 3 different waitresses and never got my drink. When I went to the counter to ask one more time I was treated rudely and was told to go sit down that someone would be right there to help me. Unfortunately the waitress that treated me so rudely never did come check on me. This better not become thier normal, as it will damage their business.
So we are local, but only been here 2 or 3 times. The following are the reasons why both positive and negative. First- prices are very reasonable across the board. That's where the positive ends. My wife really wanted breakfast and there is lack of options here. Nobody felt like cooking so this is where we went. It was a Sunday, busy but not crazy. Walked in to see 4 or 5 tables not cleared. Finally they cleared one and we sat down. First 2 minutes a lady came over with menu's and silverware. Took our drink order and returned shortly. Asked if we ready, we said we just need 1 minute. All was going OK at this point. 15 minutes later, Nobody came back. Wife had to get up and get someone. The lady apologized but seemed empty. We ordered. Then 2 ladies starting bickering back and forth right at our table about another table then someone in the kitchen got involved. Food came out, no butter or syrup. Wife asked for an additional side and the lady gave the rudest look at her. God forbid someone ask for another item THE CUSTOMER is paying for you. They screwed up the scrambled eggs, way overcooked, wrong cheese. Eyelash in the gravy. It's like we had to fight to get served here. After all the food was present, nobody ever came back to ask us anything. We had 1 empty coffee and another drink was empty. Pathetic service and subpar food. My wife apologized to me because I didn't want come here because of past experiences like this. No reason my wife should ever apologize for a place that is absolutely horrible in every aspect.
Our server was good, and food was wonderful and very fairly priced.
If you 're looking for a solid place for breakfast or lunch here you go. We recently visited on Father 's day for breakfast. My brother and I both had a breakfast bowl , which are packed with hashbrowns, bacon, ham, tomatoes, onions and green peppers. Dad had a traditional plate with biscuits, gravy, eggs and bacon. Portions were tasty, plentiful and beyond filling. Our tea and fountain drinks were served in 1-quart Mason jars and my OJ glass was huge. Servers were attentive and quick to replenish anything we needed. The only downside to my meal was the order of pancakes. Their texture and flavor comes off as from a mix instead of a hand-matter batter. Syrup was a generic corn-syrup-based version which didn 't help matters. Might try them again if I can BYOMS(bring your own maple syrup) because that might make all the difference. Overall, I 'd go back again and if you 're looking for a filling country meal, this might just scratch that itch.
Great cozy spot for breakfast and lunch. Really reasonable prices and friendly staff! If you're looking for a diner style meal this is a great spot!
