The food is consistently delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The staff may be a bit laid-back, but it's not enough to deduct a star. The atmosphere is pleasant and contemporary. Overall, it's a fantastic restaurant worth checking out, just don't expect overly attentive service. View all feedback.
What Omer Donnelly doesn't like about 5th Ave Sushi:
I picked up a doordash here a while ago, i had to pay with the red card but it wasnt working for some reason and the worker was rushing me and had an attitude. Bad impression....i dont even want to try the food here. View all feedback.
The service at this restaurant was adequate, but the overall experience was lacking excitement. The prices were reasonable, however, I would likely choose a different dining option next time. It is surprising to discover the abundance of sushi choices in both Buffalo Grove and Arlington Heights.
Poor service, Horrible food , frozen fish ! Disrespectful and disgusting waitresses. Behave yourself.
This restaurant was absolutely delicious! I have been searching for a good sushi restaurant for a long time, and I finally found one today. Everything from the fresh mango smoothie to the cheesecake tempura dessert was fantastic. They offer great lunch specials ranging from $10 to $13 per person. Since I have a big appetite, my bill came out to $50 for two people because we each ordered two meals and a side item. The staff was friendly and spoke English, which was a plus. We ordered the Bento box Chicken Teriyaki, which came with miso soup, a side of krab salad, and my cheesecake dessert. My mom got the L1, which included two traditional rolls, a salad, California Shrimp Tempura, Udon soup, and a Mango smoothie. This hidden gem of a restaurant has plenty of seating for a small corner shop, and I can't wait to come back again!

I was so happy with my first bite of the Mexican roll. And the crab rangoon was fresh and delicious. And then the car came to a screeching halt. I think the food started tasting worse every minute after the waiter (owner? yelled at my girlfriend. Heexclaimed I don 't care so loudly if there was more than one table in the restaurant everybody would have looked up. She nevergets sauce on anything and she had already excluded sauce from one item that said it came with sauce. But one of her rolls didnot indicate that it came with sauce. So she did not ask them to leave it off. And when she pointed out that the sauce was onthe roll is when he yelled at her. Good thing we enjoy weird experiences together because this restaurant was like an episode ofThe Twilight Zone. Then we realized we had no Wasabi or Ginger at the table and they proceeded to bring the tiniest servingseither of us have ever seen in our lives. She went to the bathroom and came back grossed out because the toilet was overflowedand the bathroom was not clean. And to cap off the evening 10 minutes before close, she tried to order one more roll from theall-you-can-eat menu and the waitress said sorry we 're closed. We won 't have to worry about them spitting in our food because wewill never be back.
