We used to order delivery from Crystal Thai a few times a week when we lived in Arlington in the late 90s and early 00s. The food was consistently excellent. Now, with the convenience of DoorDash, I have started getting lunch from them at my office in Arlington. The quality is still top-notch, making it some of the best Thai food in the DC Metro area. I highly recommend it. View all feedback.
What Heidi M doesn't like about Crystal Thai:
I used to love this restaurant, but my last visit was very disappointing. I'm on a restricted diet, so I opted for the healthy choice of Pad Thai. However, the noodles were over-sauced and overly sweet, not what I was hoping for. My friend also didn't enjoy her meal, which I had taken her to celebrate. When we ordered tea, they brought tea bags instead of a shared pot of green tea. I hope Crystal Thai improves soon. View all feedback.
Love getting takeout here, but everything tastes even better dining in. The crispy catfish and flounder fish dishes are amazing.Food: 5/5
This is a good Thai place but there are better ones close by. Expensive for what you get.The Thai beer they serve is excellent though.
Very good Thai restaurant. Food was good and good selection of drinks. The massaman curry beef was not what I was expecting but live and learn. It's recommended on the menu bit was a very thick and strong flavor. Reminded me of the brown curry from Japan which isn't my favorite. Overall good food and good time. The chang beer brought back some core memories from Thailand.

I ordered number 42. Spicy mixd seafood, advertised as cooked with a chili paste. No chili paste. Instead they substituted an over abundance of bell peppers which weren’t even listed as an ingredient in the menu. I love spicy Thai food with normal yes, they are more expensive, especially in paste form) cayenne or habanero peppers. I can’t stomach bell peppers. If bell peppers were listed on the menu as an ingredient, I never would have ordered. Being penny wise and pound foolish in substituting cheaper ingredients to established/ advertised menu dinners, is a death knell to any restaurant.
