Buca Di San Francesco - AREZZO

Yum yum yum is all I can say about this restaurant. I went around for 30 minutes before I found this jewel as all the other restaurants were full for lunch. As mentioned by other people, the restaurant is in the most beautiful rooms that you feel like you are in an old museum and the food is an experience that I do not forget for a long time.

David, the owner, welcomed me with open arms...first night with a taste of Biscotti and San Vicente wine... I returned to eat vegan Tuscan dishes specially prepared for me. The Piscina Pasta with fresh tomatoes was delicious and so was the Piscina with plenty of fragrant tartuffo. I didn't even have to add Parmesan. The fruit salad Dessert was freshly made and sweet and local. It was a pleasure to chat with David about travels and his love for animals. David's father died two weeks ago and he and his mother continue to work tirelessly and so kindly and friendly.

Ottimo tutto. Tagliolini al ragù di coniglio delicatissimi. Anche il fritto è molto digeribile. Personale simpaticissimo.

Very noisy. However, the fault is not with the restaurateur but with the customers.

Wonderful atmosphere in an historic place surrounded by frescoes, complemented by superb food and impeccable service. The whole team works together seamlessly to bring this ancient place to life. This restaurant was a delightful surprise that began with a warm welcome. Highly recommend!
