Dutchy's Pizza - Arcata

One of the best pizzas I 've had in a while. The crust was crispy and thin. Good amount of tomato sauce. The cheese melted perfectly. Nice edge crust with some garlic butter I think. A great pizza. I got a little flustered over the difference between a medium pizza and a 12-inch pizza. I learned there is no universal small, medium, large with pizza. A medium could be whatever-inch the restaurant makes it. My social skills have declined in the last decade and more rapidly in the last few years. Dutchy 's has a 12-inch and then a larger size (18-inch? . It 's great pizza. The staff are friendly and helpful. I got a half cheese and half pepperoni.

Had the vegan margarita here. It was good, easy, still very happy for the option. Bit expensive for me

Apparently, many restaurants in the Arcata area are currently in limited schedules, so we were happy to find Dutchy’s served daily until 9 a.m. Ordnete to share a large vegan pizza w 2 non-vegan friends that helped me destroy it! Well made with good crust and beautiful balance of sauce and vegan cheese.

My review is simply that I am so sad we don't have this place or anything like it in my town. Delicious NY-style pizza that has a terrific tangy sauce base and they slice the veggies super thin in real deli fashion. FYH mozzarella is used and it just is rendered so perfectly with the rest that the end result is one very, very happy vegan. Bravo!
