Doña Luisa Xicotencatl's restaurant bakery is a famous establishment in Guatemala. It is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike, who come to buy their famous banana bread and other baked goods. The restaurant has a lovely patio where guests can enjoy breakfast, either traditional Guatemalan dishes or a more continental option. At lunchtime, they offer sandwiches, salads, and fruit blends. The restaurant is housed in a colonial building with a beautiful Spanish-style patio adorned with frescoes depicting daily life in Guatemala. The upstairs dining area offers stunning views of the old city and the nearby volcano. In addition to their baked goods, they also serve hot dishes like stuffed potatoes and burgers, but their desserts are particularly popular among families who visit on Sunday afternoons. The banana bread is a standout favorite.
Good evening, I wanted to share that I am a frequent visitor of your restaurant and have always been satisfied with the service until September 15th. I decided to invite my family for coffee and was surprised to find that the waitress was rude and served the cakes according to her own preference, not ours. This was disappointing as there were 18 people in our group. I hope that on my next visit, if I choose to enjoy your delicious coffee again, I will not be treated poorly. I believe that good service should be a given, especially when paying for a meal.
The restaurant's food doesn't taste good. they should hire a good chef who improves the whole menu. We ordered 04 different meno and everyone had an insipid taste. We had great expectations about the place but we ended up totally disappointed. We'll never eat there again.
For people who receive some beverage in relaxed atmosphere, for breakfast, lunch and dinner I do not recommend it, small and simple food. We asked for spicy, they told us it's also sold. I don't see why.
The bread is not enjoyable. I would not recommend it. The quality and taste need to be improved.

In the end, I spoke to her and told her that I had invited my family to eat at that place, which she had made me look bad with her service. She then told me I could complain if I wanted to. Apart from the bad experience she caused me, my family's comments were that the place was ugly, which is not how I felt about it. It is a shame that they have staff with such a bad attitude. We were seated on the second floor at table 18, and I am more than upset about the terrible service provided that day. I hope that on a future visit, if I still gather the courage to return for that delicious coffee and whole wheat toast, I will not be treated so poorly. As my mother told the waitress, we did not ask for a free meal, we paid to eat and for good service. Regards
