I believe I have discovered another hidden gem in Cantonese cuisine at Ricepot Asian Cuisine, located at 4709 Backlick Rd, Annandale, VA 22003. I highly recommend trying the Coconut Chicken and Pepper Salt Mantis Shrimp dishes. Although there may be a wait for your food, I believe it is well worth it.
The food was very enjoyable. Although the Beijing duck was not as crispy as previous visits, it was still delicious. All the other dishes were fantastic!
The chicken tofu with salted fish hotpot at this restaurant is surprisingly delicious. Despite being located in a slightly remote area, the Cantonese cuisine is authentic. The restaurant is empty during this time, but fortunately they have outdoor seating where I can enjoy my meal on a quiet Saturday morning. The waitress always wears a mask and eye protection, ensuring the safety of the food. The service is excellent and, like many others, the restaurant is struggling. Hopefully we can support them so they can survive until this situation is over.
Has a wide and extensive menu. Contains Asian dishes that are not often found nearby. But be warned that the menu prices are the cash price, and if a credit card is used, a service fee percentage will be added to the final credit fees
Food is usually good. Service may be sporadic due to short staffing. Dining room is a bit small adding to accommodation challenges. Staff is always friendly striving their urnnest to prioritize service. Wine selection is virtually none. I wouldrecommend this place for a quick bite as opposed to event cessation. Bon Appétit
