I went there for a birthday with friends. I didn't have a priori going, especially since I was told good. But I was really disappointed by the quality of the dishes. I had ordered spaghetti to the Saint James and the pasta really had the taste of the "heated" in the microwave and the scallops (not nuts) hard as rubber...I found this scandalous, given the price of the dish. An exceptional welcome and varied cuisine and home. no flat all ready the terrace is very pleasant that say more ....
Good small dishes, friendly boss, warm place where you feel well.de plus between two dishes the boss plays a guitar air!
For years we have thought about this tiny place as we look for dinner. last year I had the plat d'jour on day alone. It was a wonderful spicy leg of rabbit.This time we had dinner and it was great. Real cooking instead of a steak and chips. Crab gratin, magic and beef for my husband. the desert was the most amazing fresh fruit plate of salad. The one man serves and plays excellent guitar. The food was really , really good. The best really in Angouleme. We eat there often and have places we like but here they cook. I am so tired of places that think steak is the only meal. well done guys.
