Tastee Freez - Anchorage

The go to place for milkshakes! On a sunny summer day tastee freez is slammed! Rightfully so! They have a large variety of menu items from burgers to tacos to salads. We come here once a week in the summer with our bikes. They offer a bike rack to lock up and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The milk shakes are delicious with tons of flavor options!

I'm having to edit my review, as Tastee Freez have gone downhill badly. Obviously they've never been awesome, but you could get decent food. It was always slow service though. But my most recent visit infuriated me to the point that i don't think I'll be going back. It was that one hot day we had (June 2023) and after a long hot day in the yard, i felt like a Bananas Foster was in order. Husband feels like having a Milkshake, so off we go. The line is busy, but not excessively I've seen it this busy before, and so he puts in our order (8.10pm) i wait in the car. I can see all the other people getting their number called. I become impatient because people who ordered after us are coming out with takeout bags, but i just start messing round on my phone, and try to not think about it. Husband comes out after a period of time, holding nothing in his hands, asks me the time (he hadn't brought his phone) i tell him it's 9.18, which is when he tells me our order went in at 8.10. He goes to the counter, asks about it, and gets served in less than 10 minutes. A Bananas Foster and a Milkshake? Really? I'm raging about this length of time because following our visit, we'd planned to go along to the airport, and watch planes take off and land, and just enjoy the last of the evening with the top down on the car. However due to the excessively long wait, we had to go straight home, as he had to be up at 5am for work. What on earth is going on over there? Are tickets not dealt with in the order they were printed? Who's on the pass? Who's expediting the orders? This is ridiculous, and i won't be going back.

Two stars and it is ice cream, say it isn't so. How do you only get two stars? You totally mess up the 5 ice cream order. Only one item was right. We tried to tell them, but they weren't getting the message. This place needs adult supervision and a good cleaning. I did not order any of this stuff and my receipt shows that, but you were unwilling to correct it. Yeah and we waited while you took other orders and delivered there products. My order was LAST by like 10 minutes, everyone else was done!

Get your **** together and and at least pretend to care. Attached is my large fries after waiting 28 minutes for my to-go order. Look, I know it's cool to be shitty when you're a teenager but the whole team just doesn't care.

Me and my sister got food poisoning from the hot dogs every thing else was great,The service was fine? It took some time though.the place was also nicely decorated.
