Contribute FeedbackBombay Express has received mixed reviews, with some diners expressing disappointment in the service and portion sizes. However, others have praised the delicious food, especially dishes like the Lamb Saag and Chicken Vindaloo. While some felt the restaurant needs improvement in various areas, such as pricing and ambiance, others raved about the friendly service and great beer and wine choices. Overall, Bombay Express seems to be a popular spot for those looking for authentic Indian cuisine in Anchorage, with some room for growth in terms of consistency and customer experience.
The restaurant smells fantastic! We arrived hungry and my guest had a large meal and cleaned the plate. My chicken curry was too spicy for me, but the bread and rice were perfectly cooked.
The food was decent, but the service was terrible. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait as tables were uncleared and others were waiting. It took over an hour for our food to arrive, which was unacceptable. The naan was below average and the chicken tikka lacked flavor. If you decide to go, order dishes on the hotter side as the mild, medium, and hot options were all lacking in spice. Overall, this was a disappointing experience and the restaurant needs to step up their game.
Bombay Deluxe buffet was absolutely delicious with choices from rice to lamb and everything in between. I was especially pleased to find every choice except the nan bread was GLUTEN FREE.
Bombay Deluxe is one of the best places in Anchorage! It’s typically not crowded or loud, and the staff is really nice. The food is amazing—the chicken tikka masala keeps me coming back for sure!
Opentable allowed a reservation for 9:00 PM. When we got there we were rudely told that the kitchen was closed and they had not received a reservation. No “we are sorry” just we are closed. Do not expect Opentable to have such places on your list.
