What Chasity Hermann doesn't like about Acai Alaska:
They are not completely vegan because some of the wraps have cheese in them. The owners are vegan and so I see them either eliminating the cheese or going with Daiya cheese. Call ahead or order when you get there. Orders never take long to prepare. This restaurant in Anchorage is a fantastic spot for a casual dining experience! They serve amazing smoothies and their signature Hawaiian style Acai Bowls are a must-try. The acai base is made in-house and topped with fresh fruit, nuts, berries, and other delicious toppings. Their smoothie creations are equally impressive. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. They also offer vegan options for breakfast, lunch, and hot snacks. This review has been updated since July 30, 2017.
I have never been a big fan of acai bowls, but the ones at this restaurant are fantastic! I tried the Maui Wowie and the staff was very accommodating, ensuring that the granola was made without honey. They also happily replaced the chocolate almonds with something else when I requested it.
My partner and I decided to try only the smoothies, and they were both amazing. I opted for a cacao smoothie while my partner chose a berry smoothie. Both were delicious and left us satisfied.
My partner and I just ordered smoothies, and everyone was phenomenal. I ordered a smoothie with Cacao, and my partner ordered a berry smoothie. Both were full and delicious!
