Pasta E Basta never disappoints! It had been about 3-4 months since I last visited, and I decided to stop by Boltwood Walk in Slamherst this rainy Monday evening. What a jewel! This place has everything: good food, good service, ambience and a beautiful view of the green. Not very accessible as the dining room is a flight with steep and narrow stairs.
Very good prices for pasta, loved the variety and options to make your own combination. Portions are quite generous on top of free bread and olive oil dip. We also had a large napolitana pizza for take out and it was bigger than we thought! I recommend the regular pasta to try with your own choice of sauce and toppings. The lobster ravioli was not very interesting, but thanks to the shrimps and good sauce, it was ok.
The food is fantastic, I went there full from lunch and had to take most of it home. I can't wait to go back hungry!
Good portions, decent price. Slow to make the food. Nice servers. Ceasae salad dressing was too sweet and tangy. Wish they used anchovy dressing. The Fruti di marre was $17 and pasta portion was small compared to other dishes. The big clams/mussels made it look plentiful. Don’t order this, better value ordering other dishes without the big shells getting in the way
