I had never visited this restaurant during my time in Ames, but they had a variety of tempting menu items. I decided to try the gyro sandwich, even though I am usually very particular about it as I was raised on a family friend's version. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was and ended up devouring the entire dish with no shame. View all feedback.

Friendly, attentive staff along with generous portions made for a nice dinner. Food was fresh, hot and appealing. Lived in Ames over 10 years, this was our first time to Flame and Skewer. Decent place to get a nice sandwich, fries (and some apps. Deep fried mushrooms sweet potato fries very good! Parking: Closest parking was in the lot near Walgreen's.
