This is undoubtedly one of the most charming and top breakfast spots I've ever visited. I typically don't bother to write reviews, but this place has quickly become my go-to breakfast spot. From the mouthwatering breakfast burrito to the freshly squeezed orange juice, the background music, and the stunning interior decor, I can't emphasize enough just how wonderful this place is. What Bethany Henze doesn't like about Daytime Diner:
The coffee and **** Marys are on point, the food not so much. The food arrives cold/semi-warm. They need a food lamp and/or plate warmer. No one checks on you to see if your food is good. Staff seems more concerned with flirting with each other. The eggs are slightly under poached, the eggs Benedict is served with cold bacon, but hollandaise sauce is homemade. With my friend to brunch and we both loved it. the latte I got was so good that my friend later ordered one. the food was delicious and the personal was lovely. I will come back in definitiw.
The pour over coffee was so smooth. I'm trying to cut sugar and creamer from my diet and Daytime might be the ticket. Getting to know Stan's passion for his beans and entire process was a delight as I waited for the pork tacos. They were really tasty but I could have enjoyed three or four of them if it was my lunch or dinner. I'll be back for sure.
It was our first time here we really enjoyed it! We didn’t realize there was a different menu for Weekend Brunch but there were still good options to choose from. Coffee is really delicious, like others have said, the barista gave helpful input when deciding on which one we’d like best. The portions weren’t small it was very filling. Service was a bit slow when delivering water silverware but it was a busy Sunday brunch. Staff was very friendly nonetheless(:
Oh wow this place does not disappoint. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The food and the presentation is amazing. We had lattes which were beautifully made and delicious. This is a gem to be right here in Ames.
Relaxed atmosphere with some serious coffee. Food was good and different. Not my favorite avo toast in town, but that doesn't mean it wasn't good. This is not a drive thru style place and does not put off a rushed vibe by any means. Relax and enjoy the peaceful environment.
