A magical place in many ways. Brings you so close to the genius that Leonardo Da Vinci was. You can almost feel his presence everywhere. A must visit for anyone in the area. View all feedback.
What Wanda Towne doesn't like about La Table du Moulin:
We had lunch at the creperie of the clos lucé today and frankly, apart from being relatively cheap and conveniently located within the grounds of the chateau, there is not much positive to say about it. Staff was very busy but polite. Food was below...average. Bring your own picnic to the place if you can. There are picnic areas at the back of the gardens. View all feedback.
Creperie behind chateau du close luce with magnificent view of amboise and good eating. goat cheese was super rich and quiche was also well done.
We stayed in amboise for a week near this restaurant and saved it for our last night as we liked the view of the location and the outside terrace. the restaurant has a beautiful environment, but eating was a little disappointing and...not worth much for money. the staff was pleasant and helpful.
In the morning we visited the castle and needed additional energy to visit the park, so from a location, this is perfect. as fast lunch we had a pancake and omelette; eating was okay, nothing special, but good enough.
There was construction going on when we visited mid April, so some attractions on site were closed to the public. However, all of Leonardo Da Vinci's inventions inside were very interesting, and the the ones spread around the garden were also good to see.
While visiting Da Vinci house, we had the good surprise to find a nice restaurant inside the Chateau . (Almost) like him, we could enjoy an enjoyable lunch on a terrace in front of Amboise. Service was also very nice.
