The Bluebell - Amber Valley

We had a beautiful mothers day meal today. A warm welcome, perfect service, attentive and thoughtful. Fantastic food, the best quality and perfectly cooked, from the slow-cooked beef that just melted in the mouth to the freshest veg. Ample portions, fair prices and pretty surroundings, but it's the impeccable service that means I'll definitely book again.

This hotel is nice enough but a one hour wait for a beef stew for lunch is totally unacceptable. Guest should be warned of such a wait.

We had a wonderful family celebration in the garden room. The food and service were both outstanding. The room was cozy, although a bit drafty for those seated near the door when the food was brought out. Nonetheless, this minor issue did not take away from our overall enjoyable experience. We were touched by the special plate with cake, ice cream, strawberries, and a "Happy Anniversary" message in chocolate. Thank you for making our celebration unforgettable.

Our friends reserved a private booth for the four of us. We were a bit worried because it was 2 degrees outside, but the pod was warm and cozy. The food and drinks were delicious and the service was excellent. All the staff were friendly and smiling. We had a fantastic evening together.

First visit for two of us after saying we would try a good few times! Went early evening on a Saturday. Excellent, varied menu which suited all tastes. Seated in nice area, food was absolutely fabulous as was the service! Drinks very nice too! Excellent all round, could not fault anything! Will be back!
