I forget about this place because it's on the other side of town from where I usually am. The portions are large and the pricing is great. We both ate a meal with drinks and an appetizer for under $40. Our server was awesome and we never had empty cups. The food was delicious. I had pork chops and my wife had chicken fried chicken. She had so much she had to bring some of it home. View all feedback.
What Kayla Wyman doesn't like about Cracker Barrel Old Country Store:
I would give it zero stars if I could. We went there for dinner just now and half of the items I ordered they forgot to make and then when they brought it out finally it was cold and nasty like leftovers semi reheated. I understand we ordered breakfast at supper time but it says ALL DAY breakfast. I usually look forward to the hash brown casserole and it was NASTY. Also we ordered 2 orders of cheesecake stuffed panca... View all feedback.
Okay, it's cracker barrel, do I really have to say more?? The food is always excellent, the service is good and the atmosphere is great! I have the sampler of Grandma, two eggs, sausage, bacon and ham, grits and French toast. Food: 5/5
The food was amazing! However, my problem was with the price compared to the amount you receive. The fried pimples were fantastic, but we only have 9 pimples. That doesn't justify the price. I recently had a stomach-man surgery and I can hardly eat much because I was afraid of it coming back because I only have about 15% of the stomach left. I could eat every bite of my chicken salad. It was less food than the children's shield of my youngest. The food was amazingly attractive, but there was just not much. My children were hungry after our departure.
My husband and I went to many cracker barrel restaurants, but this one is by far the best! This cracker barrel was not disappointed on two different long-distance journeys, which were almost ten years apart. I don't remember the name of the big server ten years ago, but our latest server was Crystal. She was all you want is a server, but she went beyond and beyond. The food was also amazing! I had the trout and my husband had fried turkey, and we cleaned our plates. Delicious!
This place gave me exactly what I expected from a cracker barrel. There are times when the food options in a cracker barrel are exactly what you are looking for. The food here is in line with the brand and had good flavors. I always want the dumplings and I have a great side dish of dumplings with my meal. The reason for the three-star rating is that the restaurant did not feel excessively clean. The floor was sticky everywhere and the waiting staff did not try to collect their tables at all, so you were surrounded by table to table of dirty dishes. It was like remains from a battle that had occurred on the dining room floor. Besides waiting staff was not very efficient, I just wanted to offer a training to make her life easier and I never waited a table in my life. If you drive down the highway or are moved to the hotel later at night, you can get a reliable meal in Cracker Barrel.
Also we ordered 2 orders of cheesecake stuffed pancakes and they were cold like they had been sitting out forever. What a waste of money. The service was not good either. The only positive was the friendly host that sat us.
