We live in Altea and go here regularly. It's always good and often crowded...make a reservation. NIce room has a bistro feel. Excellent food and service.
We were recommended to visit this restaurant, so booked. Arrived for our first visit, it was very busy. We were greeted immediately and the waiter waved generally in the direction of the windows and said your table is by the window . We found our table ourselves and sat down, we were offered drinks and were brought bread, olives and a menu quite quickly. We then waited for half an hour and had to attract staff attention to finally get our order in. Once ordered, it came reasonably quickly, scallops for me, and goats cheese salad for my husband, the next course was Filet miñon for me and my husband went for the layered fillet steak. Both courses were utterly wonderful, cooked exactly as specified and full of flavour, beautifully cooked and presented. My ice cream and Belgian chocolate sauce was as you would expect, my husband was a little disappointed in the tiramisu. The house wine was fine too. The problem we had was feeling as if we were being processed on a conveyer belt. We did not feel welcomed or valued as customers. A great shame, with good customer service, the restaurant could easily find itself number one in Altea. Come on Sabor, train your staff better, PLEASE!
Was popping in as usual when in Altea, menus of day still as good as ever, but may I suggest ,for a change spend a few euros, shrouds do not have pockets and choose from the a la carte, you will not be disappointed. Do It.
Just an example how you can serve good food at affordable prices. Staff always correct and friendly. Keep it up!
