that is the fifth time that we ate in this restaurant and as usual we had an amazing experience. hospitality is great, paella is very authentic and fresh. this is the best place to eat paella in olda, so a shame that this place seems... underestimated worth trying! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Freiduria Arroceria Casa Del Jamon, Altea:
Food was ok. Very poor service by staff, difficult to catch their attention even though restaurant only had 3 occupied tables, extremely unfriendly and not welcoming. Dessert was absurd see attached picture. Would not return or recommend. Plenty of much better restaurants to choose...from in Altea. View all feedback.
Very good treatment and better food. highly recommended despite being the walk in works. we will repeat.
This restaurant was visited for the first time after it had just moved to Altea. menu del dia 14,50 euro bottle house wine (reliable quality) 9,95 euro. the restaurant was very quiet when we arrived at the afternoon, but soon began to fill. my friend ordered. the menu del dia, starter porn and coffee or whisper. I ordered the lamming that I could hardly eat as they were all bones and fat for 13.50 euro. the main problem was the service, since the restaurant began to fill the waitress obviously wanted the people out and came to our table twice, although we had only our coffee and had another half bottle of wine left, the bottle picked up and asked us if we wanted to bill. they then asked the people at the opposite table to move, although they had not yet dessert. she came back and told us ten minutes, although we were not finished, will not go back.
We went for Sunday lunch we were looking for a Spanish restaurant serving paella. The restaurant was not busy when we went in but within an hour it was full with mainly locals of all ages. We had the menu del dia (mussels, house...salad, paella, lemon and a chocolate tarte) which was fantastic value for money. Service was good and quality of house wine was really good. Had not seen the previous reviews about paella however ours was fabulous. Well presented with chicken, rabbit, clams, prawns and mixed vegetables. Lovely flavour and perfectly cooked with the lovely sticky, crusty edges that make a great paella. We enjoyed our experience so much we visited again one evening, we were a little doubtful as the waiting staff were different, however the waiter was real character and enjoyed helping people order in spanish. Again the food was great, we had hake and pork cordon blu(home made well presented and piping hot and some lovely veg on the side (strangely spanish main meals do not always have many veg, just chips or potatoes) the griddled courgettes, mushrooms and peppers were delicious.
This is a MUST visit place to eat! Even if it doesn't look busy, please go in you will not be disappointed! Fresh food made to order. Delicious! We ordered from Menu of the Day in the evening and we were very impressed! Professional...service, wonderful location and very reasonably priced! Would certainly recommend
Comida casera muy rica, especializada en arroz. Muy buen trato.
