Pizzeria San Marino - Alsfeld

At our last visit (and first visit about two and a half months ago we wrote: Now we have to come back here again to taste the pizza, because it went away like warm spices. After the Christmas holidays, the kitchen should remain cold, and so we came to the thoughts of implementing our project today. And we both liked pizza. Good conditions to taste the last pizza still outstanding. We had the naïve thought that now, after Christmas and before New Year, not so much is going on, and are gloomy without reservation to Alsfeld. However, in mind that we still have some alternatives. Finding a parking place was not so difficult. It was also open, but when we entered the guest room in which last time a fish had looked on the plate from his aquarium, this was occupied until the last table. Already in my head the alternatives were rotating when we were asked for the friendly reception two people? I chased a little resigned, but we had forgotten the small space on the other side of the restaurant and we were led here. Three of the four tables were still free in the cozy small room with a tiled stove. Juhu! Five minutes later the other tables were occupied. Happy! With my onion soup test, I'm going through, so we don't have a starter this time. The Pizza Capricciosa once again corresponded to our two ideal pizzas, so we also ordered them twice. One time as if without salami and in the middle version for my love, once as a big version plus garlic for mine. And of course Bitter Lemon for my wife and for me a dark field of wheat beer for 2.50 euros hardly to underbid!! Despite the great urge, both the order and the preparation of the dishes went very quickly. And it looked good. Everything done right. My wife's pizza here as desired without salami (we also know that differently and my additionally provided with garlic. Optic has already succeeded. Dark, crispy looking and NOT curved edge. Generous coating of fresh mushrooms, fresh peppers and fresh onions, with ham and salami. Crispy, she was eating. Tastefully fine, well seasoned and aromatic. Just enjoy. Now we had already tasted the Pinocchio pizza as the best pizza in Alsfeld's core town, probably at that time with the addition, because today it turned out that this pizza here is just as delicious! And so we say today: Alsfeld's core town offers the best pizza in several places. We received excellent service and the atmosphere was very nice. The prices are very low compared to what we would get in the states. Husband had a mushroom risotto somewhat bland and two beers, I had a lasagna and small carafe of red wine. We..

Very tasty food. Real authentic Italian dishes prepared by nice Italian owners. If you are in Alsfeld You must eat there.

We received excellent service and the atmosphere was very nice. The prices are very low compared to what we would get in the states. Husband had a mushroom risotto (somewhat bland) and two beers, I had a lasagna and small carafe of red wine. We...also got a cheese dish to go with the bread. Our bill was less than Euros. Well worth it!
