The meat and beans were bland, the cheese enchiladas lacked cheese. The green sauce was too spicy to enjoy and they ran out of red sauce. The meal was both disappointing and overpriced. The worst part was trying to use a restroom without a light – we had to go to the men's room to turn it on for the women's room. The staff was friendly but overwhelmed with only four tables. If you want real tex-mex, don't go here. We ordered queso and it was just melted shredded cheese with beef on top. My burrito had nothing but ground beef in it. They also did not include my side of beans and rice.

El patio was our pitstop for lunch on our trip from marfa to big bend national park while they are here in this small town of alpen, they go down the road.
Just arrived in alpine, tx and needed a lent choice to dinner. I found this place and thought we had found a good option. we found fishtacos.
