Bonnie Ruth's Bistro Francais - Allen

This restaurant review is very negative. The reviewer had a bad experience at the restaurant and recommends going to Bonnie's in Frisco instead. They ordered a peanut butter chocolate cake online for pick up on a specific date, but when they went to collect it, the restaurant claimed there was no order under their name. They were offered an old cake instead, which was poorly made and tasted old. The reviewer tried to get a refund but was unsuccessful, and the manager did not call back as promised. They are very disappointed with the customer service and do not plan on returning to this restaurant.

I have been wanting to give this restaurant multiple chances, but today's experience was so horrible that I had to leave a review. Since this location opened, I have been disappointed with something every time I have dined here. However, it is hard to find good French food and mussels elsewhere. We arrived early for our reservation and went to the restroom. When we returned, our group was already there. We were seated at a booth opposite a kiosk where servers were constantly gathered. The server got 2 out of 6 orders wrong, and I had to get up twice to ask for help. The food took 24 minutes to arrive after ordering, but the refire only took 5 minutes, which is why I am giving 2 stars. The final straw was that something used to clean the floors or booth bleached my brand new black dress, completely ruining it. I wanted to love Bonnie Ruth's, but the consistent rookie mistakes have made it impossible for me to do so.

We absolutely adore Bonnie Ruth's! The food is excellent and the desserts are outstanding (especially the Carrot Cake!). We enjoy the atmosphere, and the staff is consistently welcoming. The restaurant is impeccably clean. We cannot praise this place enough!

DO NOT COME HERE. GO TO THE BONNIE'S IN FRISCO. If I could give this place less than one star I would. I am so disappointed and upset. I ordered a peanut butter chocolate cake on the Bonnie Ruths Allen website, on Sunday, October to be ready for pick up on Wednesday October I left instructions stating that we would pick it up on Wednesday Oct at and received a confirmation email (also saw that it was deducted from my account). On Oct we went to pick up the cake and the gentleman at the front desk said sorry, we don't have any order under that order number or name When asking to speak to the manager he stated that the manager wasn't there and wouldn't be back until the next day (so we couldn't get a refund). This didn't help our situation because the birthday party was later that day so we were offered an old cake that had been sitting out. The cake was poorly put together because the top layer was tilted and sort of lop sided and the cake tasted old. When calling the next day and asking to speak to the manager, she was pleasant and offered to refund me for the cake after I explained the situation and said she would call me back the next day to process it. I haven't received a call back and it has been over two weeks. I have tried to call on multiple occasions throughout the past two weeks during business hours but have gotten a busy-line beeping noise (I even called before posting this review). I paid ahead of time expecting quality and ended up getting stiffed. I am disgusted with the customer service and will NOT be coming back here again.

We love Bonnie Ruth's! The food is amazing and the desserts are phenomenal (esp the Carrot Cake! We love the ambiance. And the staff is always friendly and the restaurant is extremely clean. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place!
