What User doesn't like about Indigo Landing:
A friend and I visited Indigo Landing for a Restaurant Week dinner, only to discover it was the last night before they closed for renovations. Our waiter informed us of this as we settled in. We have dined here many times and have always had a great experience. We plan to check their website for updates and to see what’s in store once they reopen. The location is stunning, situated by the water near Reagan National A... View all feedback.
The acoustics are terrible, although the view of the city is beautiful. It's a bit too dingy for my taste, but they are renovating soon.
Food was cold, crab cakes were too fishy and almost no seasoning on anything, food was way too bland. If the weather was nice it's a great location to sit outside and have drinks.
Made a reservation on open table , but when I arrived, the restaurant had a sign saying they were closed. Did not bother to call or email me to let me know. What a waste of time. I will not be giving you a second chance.
The Sunday Brunch is great. But the interiors are worn and tired. Most of the vinyl seating was peeling. The carpet is past it's useful life and in general the interior is dirty and dated. This place needs some love.
My memory of this place is that is has a wonderful ambiance and good food, so I was not hesitant to take my husband there for his birthday. Unfortunately, I had to re-assess once we sat down. This is a great place to go in the summer in the evening or late afternoon. It is on the water and has a beautiful view of the Potomac. You can see the planes coming and going in and out of Reagan Airport. But for mid-day in January, it is a blah place. Almost empty, and while our server was pretty attentive, there was a hair in the sauce for our calamari appetizer; the flounder sandwich was too breaded; the chef's salad was overloaded with bacon; the crabcakes didn't have a lot of filler but were blah and the chicken was not flavorful. I think this place has outlived it's good reputation. I would not go back.
