Once you have been served the ice-creams are great. The challenge is getting the attention of any staff outside who should be serving customers. Instead they spend their time looking at their feet or towards the sky to avoid any eye contact with customers! Please note the staff inside are friendly and attentive, just don't expect to be served quickly at your table outside! View all feedback.
We came, my wife and I , from a restaurant recommendation were we had our diner, at this Garrafeira to try a lovely digestive. We had what we were looking for and the drink was lovely. We were having a good time with, I have to say an expensive drinks) when the waitress ask us to poor our drinks in a plastic cup and leave because he wanted to close!! We asked politely if we could finish our drinks? But the waitress with no words, move to the next table asking the same to others customers how, like us, were having a good time too. For what we understood, they were shocked from the demand of the waitress and just left without finishing they drink too. Then, the waitress came back to us, with his plastic glass and asked us to leave. My wife was so angry to don't be able for us to finish our drink and more to have to put it in a plastic superbook cup ! Did the waitress have a knowledge about this kind of drinks? I don't know! But we left without finishing our drinks!!!!!! Never more we will be back there because of this poor quality service ! IF the waitress wanted to close, then why he don't have told us that he will be closing in few minutes??? Shame.
The ice cream was good and large choice , but ... the staff could mile to help and make it a better expérience
Located in the public square, near the river, we've stopped here for Gelato many times. Delicious. Also attached is a liquor wine store. Friendly service, with an outdoor patio to sit and watch the world go by.

Located right by the Roman bridge this is an outdoor seating area with drinks and ice-cream, overlooking the stage, where we watched a youth brass band perform. Inside they have some very expensive bottles of drink if you're looking for a very special gift too.
