Good morning, Passing for a night following our daughter's Bac Pro exams in Caussade. Room for 3 (n°8) in great need of a makeover regarding paint, beds and furniture... Bathroom quite olé olé... a nauseating smell set in during the night around 2 a.m. and it was impossible to sleep properly without opening the window to alleviate this smell... Not great. Of course, the price is normal for this type of hotel so you shouldn't expect great luxury but hey, it was more than limited... Breakfast given the price it seemed obvious to us to have bread with butter and jam without having to ask ourselves if we wanted it because otherwise just 4/4 cake and a few madeleines is quite limited given the price asked... In short, for us this did not really correspond to our expectations but there are few photos on the website of the rooms so be wary for those who want a little modernity!!! Yours truly.

Now then, if you 're a weary trucker on the road south out of Caussade this is the place to head for. You can park, shave, shower, get your head down and have about the most decent meal you can get north of Toulouse. IF, on the other hand, you are not a trucker but you are travelling through the wonderful countryside of this part of France and you feel like having a luncheon that will be hard to beat anywhere within 200kms of Caussade, this is the place for you. It has three seating area 's one for the truckers, one for office workers and the last and most comfortable for the rest... We 've eaten in all three areas and enjoyed them all equally. Here 's the lowdown. SIX yes SIX courses plus wine and coffee, 13.50 euros Melon one Soup two Charcuterie three Main course four Cheese board five Dessert Six All prepared 'in house ' and to a very good standard, let 's face it, if it wasn 't good, the car park would be empty and at lunchtimes, it never is ! Service is quick and with a smile from the very helpful waitresses. It 's places like this that are disappearing in France fast, so treat yourself and yours to the real deal, even if you 're not a trucker and if you see Eddy, tell him I sent you !
