Nice restaurant with good Chinese food. I really liked the decor, especially the clouds painted on the ceiling and the trickling waterfall wall. If you have time after your meal, you can walk across the street and go for a walk around the lovely lakeside park. Vegetarian options: They have a variety of vegetable only dishes. What Lee doesn't like about China Restaurant:
For the cost of a single person to come in, the portions themselves are good, but the food is oily, crispy things aren't crispy and the food is soggy/over salty. Teriyaki Chicken the last time I came in wasn't cooked all the way, and when I asked them to remake my meal so that I wouldn't get food poisoning (the conversation escalated, obviously) they started yelling back and forth, and ended up taking over an hour to... Good food (we ordered departure for 6 people), busy place. Something inefficient checkout, but heard they were short-circuited. Very friendly and polite owners. It looked like menu online differs a bit from in-house menu. For example, I did not see a honey chicken online, but the menu in my parents' house had listed honey chickens. Typical Asian farewell... injurious amount of chicken in chicken roast rice.
The exterior of the building is inconvenient and you are left in the parking lot wondering if you are in the right place. The portions are good for a person, but you are better off sharing several dishes when you are with a group. The staff is friendly and the food came fast. Not bad for a little town!
The best Chinese restaurant we have found. BeIng from north Missouri and semi broke down at shop. We experienced local businesses. Will definitely have to stop here again sometime.
