Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Albemarle

Walked in yesterday, the door was unlocked, and the open sign was on. Employee 's very rud, said we have a large catering order an are too busy to serve you. Wow, customer service. As we turned around, one lady said, Come back later. What happened to customer service.

Nick runs a tight organization. The food is always hot fresh and tasty. The crew is hospitable and the restaurant is clean.

I ordered takeout for my Jeep club CNC4X4. We had 30 people camping at URE. We set time to pick up the food and when we got there everything was ready to go. They helped load into the truck with plates napkins/silverware all provided. Outstanding service.

We ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a chicken sandwich. There is no slaw on the pulled pork sandwich and no lettuce or pickles or anything on the chicken sandwich either. Each sandwich did have good flavor but was rather dry. After adding BBQ sauce each tasted much better. They have several choices of BBQ sauce to choose from.

Great spot in Albermarle area... food was fast and service was friendly. I seem to remember them having banana pudding but that is no longer on the menu. Would definitely go back!
