Domino's Pizza - Alameda

Idk why the rating for this Domino’s is a 4.1. We came here on a Monday night and did the 2 for 6.99 each deal. Wait time was 25min which was fine. Pizza was delicious and looked good to me, I thought they did a good job with the toppings. Service was good as well and the shop was clean.A lot of the reviews complain about wait time, but it’s not nice to stress out the staff. Order ahead if you’re ordering on a busy day/ night or order on a not so busy day/ night if you’re really that impatient of a person.

I had to wait a total of 2.5 hours to get 1 medium pizza and a pasta. The restaurant is less than 5 miles away.I put in my order, and after an hour of not getting ANY updates, I called to check. They said they were swamped and it would take another half hour, did I want to cancel? I said no, I’d wait. 5 minutes later, I got a a notification saying my order was canceled. I called to ask why, they said they didn’t know, and that now my wait time would be 45-60 minutes. 70 go by, again NO updates, I call again to cancel. As soon as my call goes through, I see them changing the status AS they asked to me and told me it had already left, well would soon, I think they just left with it, but I don’t think they charged you after the mishap.At this point, it’s not even worth it the money. Clearly it’s being terribly managed, especially since this is not the first time. I figured it was just a one off before but clearly not. Do NOT plan your meals around this place, you’ll end up with your lunch arriving for dinner.

Ordered a late night salami and mushroom. It was just mushy and bad. Gross!Update: I called the next day and the manager apologized and gave me a credit for a new pizza. She also said that crispy pizzas are a thing for them. She will look at retraining the young late night staff. I get it. Thanks Dominos.
