Church's Texas Chicken - Akron

Food was great tasting but the 10 piece special they had going on they were out of without a 15 to 20 min wait. They were also out of the peppers with no substitute for the peppers. I was visiting in Akron so I stopped as we do not have one in my city. But I would definitely go back again!!!!

Honestly I was there because I figured it be lively on a Sunday . It was about around the hours when most places of worship would of been finished, after worshipping in church why not go to church's chicken!!!? Well apparently the staff didn't have the same thoughts in mind. I feel like the wait time was around 15 minutes and that was for the person at the front of the line when I first walked in. All the staff was not expecting any sort of rush so maybe my thoughts were a bit flawed. There were several people in line with me and several behind me after two had been served. Three or so people expressed my exact thoughts at the time why would there be no food prepped for an afternoon rush . You could just tell in staffs eyes they were not worried about customers , they were very stand-offish in there mannerisms and just for lack of better words lazy. And I could tell it been like that. What it boils down to is if your expecting to come to this food joint and enjoy it your not . It wasn't worth the wait the whole experience kinda just ruined my ideas of chicken on a Sunday afternoon after church. I normally get my food and leave , but something told me just eat in the car . This gave me a chance to try to at least enjoy my meal hot trying to balance away the I'll feeling everyone around me was also giving off. That didn't even happen. After a few bites and watching even more customers going in and coming out shaking there heads in disgust , well idk what else to say . Well one more thing my dog did seem to enjoy the doggie bag I made up for him don't get me wrong pve seen him turn his head for other human foodies so I guess add another star somewhere for decent doggie bag . Will I try it again yes but definitely a different location. Thank you for reading my rantasy... I always try

Crispy chicken and very moist inside but it’s not seasoned. Good biscuits , can’t eat inside no tables

Never been to such a slow paced low energy and lack of professionalism food service in my life. I'm a door dasher and I won't take orders from there anymore. Get some people that actually work and know that delivery orders need taken care of asap! When i was a cook I never let the dash or Uber eats orders sit. I had to stop anything I was doing and get it done ASAP! pathetic work ethic

So I'll accept some slow, extended service times (what other choice do us customers have), but to walk in, get in line, and be told by the cashier, no more orders being taken, we have to close. At 1:55pm on a Saturday!?!?!? No signs on the door, no explanation given. Unbelievable! Always disappointed by something when visiting this location. PLEASE do right by your customers and get efficient and consistent with your service and food! I've never had this problem visiting locations in the south. But ALL the Akron stores have always been this way.
