Drove in for one night and this seemed like the perfect choice for dinner. BBQ brisket was tender and smoked with great flavor and bacon wrapped corn cob was better than we imagined. Service was great and she was able to make good suggestions for portions and choices. Very spacious accommodations and friendly atmosphere. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Main Street Beer & BBQ:
From the fellow friends I was told this was real BBQ. However for myself I found the meat to be slightly tasteless. Overall I wasn't super thrilled with the food but the atmosphere was great and or service was fantastic! Below is the Tricky texan View all feedback.
We were driving thru Red Deer and decided to stop for dinner. Excellent food, great staff. Left full and happy.
This has the look and appeal of a modern day bistro bar with lottsa seating and it looks like they have live music on the weekends. Great menu with interesting items like a never before seen entry “White bread $0”. Portions are a good size and served pub style. Still a restaurant needs to serve food that makes you want to come back and this one didn’t. The much advertised 14 hour slow bbq meals were tough and plain. They do have great bbq sauces at the table we won’t be back finding the generous portions too heavy for our liking.
Stopped in for a beer and some bbq wings...never disappointed. The food is awesome and staff is great. Great place to watch sports on the best best big TVs in Airdrie.
My wife and I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for months, but kept getting sidetracked. Finally, we made it to Main Street BBQ and Beer in Airdrie and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. We ordered the 1/2 lb brisket and 1/2 lb pulled pork with some sides, and both meats were the best we've had in the Calgary area. The brisket had a perfect smoke ring and bark, with a firm but tender bite. The pulled pork had plenty of bark and white meat, all nicely forked up for us. The Espresso BBQ sauce with the pulled pork was especially tasty. We chatted with Tyler, the Pit Boss, and learned that he sells briskets whole or partial. The cornbread, baked beans, and coleslaw were all excellent. For dessert, I had the Pecan Pie which could have used a bit more cooking time on the bottom crust, but the filling was perfect - thick, dark, sweet, and full of Pecans. My wife enjoyed the Strawberry/Rhubarb Crisp, but found it to be too much. Overall, we had a great experience and look forward to trying more items on the menu. I highly recommend this place to family and friends.
The flavors infused into the authentic Texas-style BBQ meats at Main Street are incredible. Head chef Taylor coats the cuts of meat with custom-blended dry rubs and smokes them in-house over applewood for at least 12 hours, allowing the flavor to permeate throughout the entire cut. This also gives the chef full control over the BBQ process. I particularly enjoyed the turkey and pulled pork, which were not only flavorful but also moist and tender. The turkey was so tender it could be cut with a fork. The house-made pickles were a refreshing touch. We also tried two beer flights from their sister restaurant's microbrewery, Southblock BBQ in Calgary. The beers had unique and interesting flavors. I ordered the beet and macaroni side salads, both of which were well-executed. The restaurant offers more than just BBQ. My dining partners had the frito pie and tacos, which they said were excellent. The portions are generous and we had no room for dessert, but my daughter highly recommends the banana pudding. The service was professional and friendly.
