Big City Diner (pearlridge) - Aiea

The food is delicious 100%, but be ready to wait for your food for over 30 minutes. This complaint is only for the owner (not for management). Sunday morning 9:30, We're a party of 2, still waiting for food, as I write this review now 10: 07. I can clearly see the kitchen from here that there are only two chefs in service with a Full House who let me believe that the owner is going to chefs and employees who are very sad and unacceptable and unprofessional. Also unacceptable that every customer has been waiting for food for more than 30min. I wish the owner can bring more chefs and no longer throw away the employees. We receive our food at 10:12 a.m. that the food was tasty good, but still not worth waiting, sad we will not come again.

Has the feeling of diners from your childhood. Excellent food.

Best local style diner and menu IMHO. Late breakfast stopped. Over the years we visited several sites and the quality was consistently good with a variety of choices. For Brunch was the breakfast bread pudding with Haupia (Coconut) Crème sauce and Macadamia nuts? Da mouth broken? delicious. Cartridges seem to be mainly local, a good sign that this restaurant is very respected.

They'd have got 5 stars if they got my 3rd order right. 1. Order: Cobb Salad fantastic!? 2. Order: Fried Rice, no egg Spot On!? 3. Order: Fried Min Noodles, no egg Bloop, they put the egg in??? (Lucky didn't waste it as I gave it to my BFF) I told the waiter I was allergic to eggs when I made the order!

Really liked the feel but the meal was underwhelming. Got the Mac burger with garlic fries. It sat up on the waiters counter for a while which is why I think it wasn't great. By the time I received my food the fries had become soggy in the garlic butter. And the bun was open so the side with the condiments on top had also soaked up butter and therefore was really soggy. Kinda gross and made for a much messier meal than was already expected. I'd go again but wouldn't order the same thing.
