We took the whole family and our fur baby to Abiquiu. We went to this restaurant twice. It?s pet friendly. We enjoyed our meals on the patio. The food is really good. I gonna miss their trout dishes a lot. View all feedback.
What Ozella Kozey doesn't like about Café Abiquiu Laterraza:
Staff very nice.. Dinner bland of enchilada and side beans. Chicken fry dinner seemed chicken not freshly prepared, but made fr frozen pre-made and green beans frozen kind. Coffee in room way better than what is served at Cafe Breakfast tastier omelet, but needs improvement. View all feedback.
Service was great , food lacked flavor and love. Plated well and brought in time .
On our way back to Santa Fe, we made an unplanned stop and had lunch there. The service was smooth and staff were all friendly especially our waitress, which was extremely nice. We both had Shrimp And Grits and I think it was one of the best we?ve ever had. The shrimp was fresh and the grits creamy. Their Summer Berry Pudding was refreshing dessert. Too bad we didn?t get to sit and dine outside. We would have preferred sitting outdoors. Next time then.
We have been here several times. Always a great experience. The chili crusted steak, shrimp and grits with a solid wine and dessert menu make a place to come back too.

What a pleasant surprise to have found such a wonderful place to dine. The food was fantastic! We checked in to our hotel room and walked right in to get a table at 7:00 on a Sunday evening. After a long day of traveling we were relieved they were open and happy to serve us. Service was great, had some Gruet to celebrate our visit and ordered a couple appetizers and entrées. Our children were pretty tired from the trip but seemed to enjoy their visit as the beautiful artwork on the wall served as great conversational pieces while we waited for our food. First we had the Hummus then Napoleon appetizer, which I highly recommend. For entrées, my husband had the Red Chile Shrimp Grits and I had the Blue Corn Crusted Trout with Corn Cakes Green Beans. Everything was cooked seasoned to perfection. The next morning we had the Red Chile Eggs Benedict our children had pancakes. We are so grateful to have found this spot and look forward to visiting here more often!
