What User doesn't like about Lone Star Diner Abilene:
The first time I went there the food was good. I tried today to take my boyfriend there to try it out and was interrogated about my medical exemption for not wearing a mask by the girl standing around in the front. A simple no would have been appropriate instead of all the questions. I try to support local businesses and I like the food here, but will definitely not go back. Save the grilling for the burgers. We were a group of 9. Opinions on food flavor ranged from good to excellent. 1 stated the chicken fried steak was a little tough but flavor was excellent. Fish was also judged as very good. Value was considered very good by all. We will go again.
Very friendly staff. I had the burger special. It was a little small but it was great. I do plan to go back and try one of the plate specials
