I had been walking around Turriff and knew that I would want a coffee at some point before heading home. This place is situated on the main street, and there was just something about it that made me feel it would be a good choice. It was empty when I went in at 3:40, and it turned out that they shut at 4:00, but that was time enough for coffee, and of course I couldn't resist having something sweet to eat with it. Th... In this morning for tea and scones. Scones were amazing, best ever- lady making them in the kitchen behind! I had date and treacle, wife had cheese.
We popped in and had a coffee and cheese scone each. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the coffee was great and the scones were the best ever
Stopped for lunch and panini and cake were very tasty. I had the classic brie and cranberry and my wife the chicken and cheese. Both were accompanied by a fresh beetroot salad. I finished with a great St Clemantine cake, orange and lemon flavoured.
A nice welcome and they have a good menu to choose from. Excellent coffee and tea and our sandwiches were served fresh and tasty.
First time here. Great staff. Very COVID secure. Spotlessly clean. I was just in for a mid bike ride bacon roll and a coffee. Both were excellent. I like my coffee black and naked and a poor coffee has no frothy stuff to hide behind but this was a lovely brew. Sensible size cup too. I don't know if they do massive paper cups of skinny malinky mocha wocha tutti frutti double dips with marshmallows, or whatever, if that's your thing but why would you spoil a goid coffee anyway? A couple over the way from me had been having something more substantial and seemed to have enjoyed it. Cakes looked great but I was behaving myself. Maybe next time. Won't be my last visit that's for sure. Highly recommended.
