I and three friends had lunch tonight. It's the second time. Service was really good. This time I had fish and chips. I found that the fishbatter was quite oily and not boiled all the way. We love this pub, but tonight they're disappointed that we just won't be back. We reserved a table for dinner. We arrived on time, ordered and paid for food and drink at the bar, took our beers to the table, we waited for food. No sign of food after 30 minutes, so it hunted with bar staff. Another 15 minutes, no sign of our order and no communication from the staff, what happened to our order or if we could see it. Hunted it again. A whole hour after the order we asked for a refund and a statement. We were refunded with the statement that the kitchen did not withdraw the order. Good. But tell us that for the first time we ask, not when we go. Errors happen, orders disappear. We understand. But a little forward, honest communication goes far. Really disappointed about the bad service of a customer-centric business that obviously has no interest in meeting basic customer needs. To the Terminus team, do better. Engage with your customers, recognize mistakes and try to ensure a simple lost dinner order will not become a 1-star review. If you read this review, there are many other places to spend your time and money that are looking forward to taking care of you.

Went over for a pub dinner on a Sunday night with our (adult) children. The Terminus is close by. Chose the roast pork belly with roast vegetables. Can with a glass of mulled wine. All very nice.

The Terminus Hotel looks like an old fashioned pub, and it was once. It has kept it's old features but has a great semi- enclosed beer garden with a vertical garden and mezzanine floors. The food is delicious and there is a good variety for all tastes. Three of us had the daily special of slow cooked beef ribs. They were so tender they melted in the mouth and tasted delicious. The dessert menu was small but very nice too. Sticky date pudding was popular with our group and I had the pear tarte tatin. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food.Staff are friendly and helpful. Two courses and a few drinks cost us about $60 each. We will go back again for sure.
