The Wheatsheaf, also known as The Thatch to locals, is a lovely country pub on the Wirral offering a mix of traditional and modern dishes. While the food is generally tasty and the Sunday roast is especially generous, some diners have expressed disappointment with certain aspects of their meals, such as burnt edges on a burger or being charged extra for gravy. The atmosphere is described as quiet and peaceful, with plenty of parking. Despite some mixed experiences with the food and service charges, the pub's beautiful setting and delicious cocktails, like the Rumtini Espresso Martini, make it a worthwhile visit.
