Both my husband and I are vegan, but my husband has an actual milk allergy. When we ordered, I didn't say any milk, like my husband. The waiter asked if there was an allergy and I told him I was not allergic, but did not eat milk and my husband is allergic. When our food arrived, I had cheese on it, but my husband didn't.
