The restaurant in question offers a mix of experiences, with some patrons raving about the excellent service and delicious food, such as the Pork Spiedie served on freshly baked bread, steamed mussels, and must-try garlic fries. Others, however, were disappointed with dishes like overcooked kielbasa and dry chicken sandwiches. The atmosphere was described as having an old-time feel and being pleasant for a casual meal or a quick drink at the bar. Overall, the restaurant seems to offer a classic Upstate NY dining experience with a mix of hits and misses on the menu.

What Merl Stamm doesn't like about Sharkey's Restaurant:
While passing through Went here specifically for the Spiedies on a recommendation. The chicken was over cooked and very dry. The roll was dry too. Melted cheese wasn’t offered so I assumed it came with it. It didn’t. The whole sandwich was flavorless. Fries were okay. Service was fine. The place was pretty empty at lunchtime. I liked the old time feel of the restaurant and it seemed clean. View all feedback.
